Linking practice, teaching, and research!

Prof. Dr. Robert Keller

"There are no shortcuts - everything is reps, reps, reps." - Schwarzenegger

Since 2020, I am a tenured professor for Information Management & Digitalization at the Faculty of Tourism-Management at the University of Applied Sciences Kempten. Furthermore, I am working for the FIM Research Center for Information Management (FIM), the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology (FIT), and the Institute for Sustainable and Innovative Tourism (INIT).

I am interested in interdisciplinary research on applied data science and causal machine learning for visitor management and smart mobility. In this domain, my team have been granted various applied research projects. Besides publicly funded research projects, my team and I support companies in meeting the challenges of digitalization & sustainability. In particular, we use data-based analyses to evaluate new business models.

During the last years, I regularly published in internationally renowned journals and conferences, and I’ve been asked to review for several renowned journals and conferences. I am also an external reviewer for some doctoral theses.
